About The Position

DK is seeking a full-time Construction Law Associate Attorney in New York City, NY. This role involves managing complex construction litigation, drafting and negotiating technical construction contracts, leading alternative dispute resolution processes, and providing risk management counseling to corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law, excellent legal skills, and a client-service orientation.

Requirements

Minimum 5 to 9 years of dedicated Construction Law experience.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active Bar Admission in good standing in either New York (NY) or New Jersey (NJ).
Proven expertise in construction litigation, technical contract structuring, dispute resolution, and strong negotiation capabilities.
Exceptional oral/written skills, strict adherence to deadlines, and a strong client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute complex construction litigation lifecycles, executing high-quality research, legal writing, and oral advocacy.
Structure, draft, and negotiate technical construction contracts, design agreements, and project management documentation.
Lead and support mediation, arbitration, and formal dispute resolution pathways on behalf of industry stakeholders.
Provide data-driven legal advice, proactive contract reviews, and risk mitigation strategies to corporate clients.
