About The Position

Meritage Homes is looking for summer 2027 interns across our divisions in 12 different states. Meritage is located in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah. At Meritage Homes, our internship program gives you the chance to explore the business of homebuilding, build meaningful connections, and contribute to projects that matter. You’ll gain hands-on exposure, learn from experienced leaders, strengthen your skills, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how one of the nation’s top homebuilders brings communities to life while having fun and growing your professional network. The internship is 10-12 weeks long. Interns will learn the full new home construction process in active Meritage communities, from planning and scheduling to quality delivery. They will shadow and collaborate with construction leaders, subcontractors, city inspectors, and cross-functional teams. Interns will apply classroom knowledge to real business situations, explore Meritage’s core values, and partner with other interns on meaningful projects. They will also present their ideas and recommendations to senior leaders. Meritage Homes does not provide Visa sponsorship.

  • Students pursuing degrees in: Construction Management, Operations, Project Management, Business Administration, Real Estate, Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Learn the full new home construction process in active Meritage communities, from planning and scheduling to quality delivery including how teams help ensure homes are delivered within specific cycle times, budget targets are met, and customer quality expectations are achieved.
  • Shadow and collaborate with construction leaders, subcontractors, city inspectors, and cross-functional teams to see how projects come together.
  • Apply classroom knowledge to real business situations and develop practical skills you can take into your career.
  • Explore Meritage’s core values and see how they shape the way we build homes, support customers, and work as a team.
  • Partner with other interns on meaningful projects focused on current business opportunities and challenges.
  • Present your ideas and recommendations to senior leaders, gaining experience communicating with executives.
