About The Position

The Construction Intern gains exposure to and opportunities to work in a variety of construction management areas, contributing to work in a fast-moving business. The Tepa Companies 2027 Intern Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity. Depending on workload and school schedule, the work schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week. The position is located in Fort Benning, Georgia, and pays $21.00–$25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or another related field from an accredited program.
• Within two years of graduation; rising junior or rising senior.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
• Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field execution support of construction projects.
• Assist with estimating, scheduling, developing bid packages, issuing RFIs, and coordinating submittals.
• Observe and supervise construction activities.
• Assist with project closeout activities.
• Learn about supporting field staff.
• Interact with design professionals and construction management teams.
• Assist with tracking and forecasting project budgets.
• Assist with safety enforcement.
• Organize and attend project meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
