About The Position
The Summer Construction Internship Program at Clancy & Theys Construction Company is a 10-12 week program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals in project management, field operations, preconstruction, and safety, gaining a comprehensive understanding of project planning, execution, and delivery. The program emphasizes learning through real-world project experience, encouraging interns to take on meaningful responsibilities, ask questions, share ideas, and contribute to team success. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an applicable course of study, including: Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Building Construction, General Engineering, or Related technical, certificate, or trade programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution
- Participate in jobsite safety initiatives and learn industry best practices
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation
- Support project managers, superintendents, and field teams in day-to-day operations
- Observe subcontractor coordination and quality control processes
- Gain exposure to preconstruction planning, estimating, and budgeting activities
- Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities
- Build relationships with mentors and industry professionals across the company
