About The Position

SLR Consulting (Americas) is seeking a Construction Inspector to oversee a roadway reconstruction project in York, Maine. This role is crucial for ensuring that construction activities align with MDOT procedures and processes, contributing to the company's goal of 'Making Sustainability Happen'. The position involves detailed inspection, documentation, and coordination to ensure project compliance and success.

Requirements

NETTCP certification with paving experience is required
Ability to handle typical Chief/Resident inspector duties
Strong inspection documentation skills

Nice To Haves

Prior state inspection experience preferred
Familiarity with Maine DOT construction specifications and documentation preferred
Additional certifications desirable (ACI, Precast Concrete, etc.)

Responsibilities

Provide Inspector services for MDOT type Construction Inspection Projects
Conduct measurements and documentation of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents
Perform basic material testing activities and supplying results for internal and external purposes. Testing may include Hot Mix Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete and soils/aggregates
Review Contract Documents
Coordinate with Clients and Contractors
Prepare records for oversight of construction Projects including daily inspection reports, testing protocols and the MDOT system for record keeping
Prepare for and assist in running meetings
Develop and maintain project records throughout construction
Prepare pay requisitions and change orders
Monitor, manage and execute necessary material testing
Prepare project correspondence
Coordinate with utility companies and various agencies of the industry as necessary
