About The Position

Ardurra is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Ardurra is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that provides broad-based solutions tailored to the specific needs of public and private clients. We leverage interdisciplinary expertise and an integrated structure to deliver practical, innovative solutions that make a positive impact on the communities we serve. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in site infrastructure projects, observing contractor's construction activities, and reviewing work for compliance with drawings and specifications.

Requirements

Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, technical specifications, contract requirements, engineering drawings, and standard construction details
Previous experience in site infrastructure projects
Observing contractor's construction activities
Reviewing work for compliance with drawings and specifications
High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years in the Construction field or Construction Management/Field Services with experience supporting projects in water/wastewater, civil, aviation, water resources, or transportation engineering required

Nice To Haves

Associates degree preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with operating smart devices and computer preferred
Relevant construction certifications a plus

Responsibilities

Observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications
Daily field reporting
Tracking contractor's installed quantities
Witnessing tests
Documenting test results
Serving as liaison between engineer, contractor, and adjacent residents and businesses
