About The Position

Parsons is looking for construction inspectors to join their team, with multiple positions available at the inspector and senior inspector levels for their energy and utility sector. This role is part of the Critical Infrastructure team, which has been designing and delivering critical infrastructure for over 80 years. Parsons focuses on planning, designing, building, and modernizing infrastructure, with a commitment to projects that improve communities, enhance quality of life, promote economic growth, increase mobility, and boost sustainability and resiliency.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required.
Must have a working knowledge of Public Act 11-80
Be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Inspectors must possess a valid driver’s license
Ability to work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

Ensure and uphold safety standards for all field activity
Keep open lines of communication between the Parsons team, our client, and the service providers
Perform construction inspections daily and annually with attention to detail
Work at multiple sites, be able to determine what takes priority and shift focus on short notice
Oversee and validate hot asphalt temperatures throughout all stages of paving
