About The Position
STV is seeking a CEI Inspector to join our Inspection Team in either Franklin or Chattanooga, TN and be part of a growing organization! Our ideal candidate should have been directly responsible for all inspection requirements related to the construction operations assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience
- Possess the following certifications or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from the date of hire: TDEC Level 1 EPSC, TDOT HMA Certified Roadway Inspector, TDOT Asphalt Plant Technician, TDOT Concrete Field Technician or ACI Grade 1 Concrete Technician, TDOT Radiation Safety and Nuclear Gauge, TDOT Soils and Aggregates, Work Zone Traffic Control/Flagging, TDOT Intermediate MOT, 10 Hour OSHA Safety Training
Nice To Haves
- TDOT Experience preferred
- Site Manager or AASHTOWare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
- Making and checking engineering computations
- Inspecting construction work
- Conducting field tests
- Assist with geotechnical field exploration activities
