About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector to be based in Rocky Hill, CT. This person will be responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. They will perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records, participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning, and track quality assurance progress. The role also involves providing input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers, setting project deadlines, and providing on-the-job training to new employees. This position operates under minimal direction, relying on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Requirements

HS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Nice To Haves

Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and overnights.
Experience working in and around an active operating railroad.
