About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Pittsburgh, PA office. This role provides field measurements and reports for payment quantities and changes in the work. The inspector reads and interprets drawings, specifications, and standards, and inspects various facets of work on the construction site for compliance with plans, specifications, and appropriate standards. The position also involves making contract payments for review and approval, observing general job safety practices, and enforcing the contractor's safety plan. The inspector must comply with client policies and procedures for inspection of work under contract and exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school graduate
Minimum of 3 years experience
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PennDOT, Allegheny County, and/or Port Authority of Allegheny County preferred
Any Level NICET certification
Current NECEPT-Bituminous and ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician
PennDOT ECMS or PA Turnpike Kahua
