Hill International is seeking a Construction Inspector in Houston, TX. This role involves overseeing construction inspection to ensure roadways, bridges, drainage and related structures, traffic control, and environmental requirements are built in accordance with plans and specifications. The inspector will consult with project engineers, resident project representatives, and contractors' superintendents on work progress and construction problems, review equipment utilization data and time/cost estimates, and ensure adequate levels of equipment and materials are assigned to projects. They will also ensure material tests are performed and materials meet required standards, and document work progress and issues arising throughout the scope of the project. Additionally, the role includes reviewing construction records, inspection reports, and records audits, mentoring and developing technical employees in test and inspection procedures and material specifications, tracking work progress, developing Daily Work Reports (DWRs) in Site Manager, verifying that all materials meet specifications and are performing as designed, performing material testing and inspection at various locations, and performing measurement and documentation of quantities on appropriate forms and in accordance with specifications. The Construction Inspector will also lead the work of professional and technical employees in construction experience.
