Construction Inspector - Road/Bridge (Entry Level)

JMT's Trenton Construction Services Team is seeking to add entry-level inspectors to apply standard inspection procedures for in-progress and completed construction work for structural quality, general safety, and conformance to plans, specifications, and codes. Working hours will include night shifts. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g., H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Compensation is $25.00-$35.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

Responsibilities
- Review and interpret construction drawings, site layouts, specifications and construction methods for compliance with the approved plans and specifications, laws and safety regulations
- Perform routine tests as needed for concrete, soils and other materials
- Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement for compliance with contract documents
- Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations
- Makes field notes and computations.
- Tracks delivery tickets and pay items for processing payments
- Perform other related duties as assigned
