About The Position

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for Construction Inspectors to join their San Jose, California office. This role involves providing high-level inspection and testing services to a diverse client base on projects throughout the California Bay Area and Central Valley. The position offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects, and be part of an industry-leading company. While much of the work is local to the San Francisco Bay Area, Kleinfelder works on long-term projects (between 3 to 6 months) across the country, and desired candidates would be willing to support remote projects as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent to include courses in related work.
0 – 3 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design, construction inspection, construction materials engineering/testing, or other construction related field
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.
Attention to detail, quality, and safety.
Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1.
NETTCP paving certificate.
PCI certified.
NACE level certification.

Responsibilities

Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required.
