About The Position

AECOM Transportation is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Construction Inspector / Technician to join the Kentucky team. In this role, you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance with standards, codes, ordinances, zoning regulations, and contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Projects will include bridges, roadways, and their environmental components. This role requires flexibility with working schedules as they are often subject to contractor timelines. The position involves inspection of roadway and bridge construction within Kentucky, monitoring and documenting conformance with quality, performance, safety, and code requirements. Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications, and maintaining project documentation. A general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines is expected, along with an understanding of highway construction and specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Familiarity with KYTC Construction Specifications.
  • Have necessary certifications from KYTC to perform inspection.
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I
  • Aggregate Sampling Technician
  • Grade Level I & II Technician
