About The Position

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is seeking qualified Construction Inspectors to support Building / Facilities Construction and Asset Management projects in the State of Maryland, District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or State Equivalency Certificate.
  • 5+ Years of experience on small to large, commercial / government building construction projects.
  • Broad building construction experience with multi-disciplined trades including civil, structural, MEP, security installations.
  • Construction Cost Estimating skills.
  • Risk Mitigation/Claim Mitigation Training.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
  • Proven supervisory skills.
  • Excellent Construction Phase eDocumentation Skills.
  • Excellent Technical Writing Skills.
  • Must be willing to work nights and overtime, when required by the project assignment.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or other advanced certificate desirable.
  • Facilities Asset Management experience performing preventative maintenance on assets, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Building / Facilities Construction and Asset Management projects.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assets.
  • Coordinate IBC Special Inspections.
  • Manage construction management teams including other construction managers, construction inspection personnel and field office personnel.
  • Prepare daily reports utilizing government construction management reporting software.
  • Track submittals and RFIs.
  • Prepare deficiency/corrective action reports.
  • Prepare construction schedule status reports.
  • Prepare other reports utilizing industry standard construction management software.
  • Prepare construction phase progress reports.
  • Prepare schedule status reports.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
