About The Position
Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Construction Health and Safety Intern for a paid, 12-week internship. The role provides hands-on experience promoting a safety culture and supporting compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies. It is intended for undergraduate or graduate students in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field who want to apply classroom learning in practical settings and collaborate with professionals across industries and environments.
Requirements
- Be a junior, senior, or graduate student in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related degree program, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety-related procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy and organizational skills.
- Be motivated, self-driven, eager to learn and adapt, collaborative, organized, and curious.
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship or related engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training programs.
- Co-lead Corporate Safety Committee initiatives.
- Support daily health and safety activities, including audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
