About The Position

Perform work involving physical labor in building, concrete work, and heavy construction. This role involves general construction duties including carpentry, demolition, and framing. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing construction sites, controlling traffic, digging ditches, erecting/dismantling temporary structures, loading/unloading materials, measuring, assisting with concrete pouring, using construction tools, signaling equipment operators, and performing general labor duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment. The position requires working effectively with others and demonstrating consistent attendance and dependability.

Requirements

Advanced skill with hand tools (tape measure, hammer, utility knife, etc.), battery / electrical operating tools (saws, jack hammers, drills, etc.), and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Thorough understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
Knowledge of project management principles and techniques.
Familiarity with construction-related software and tools.
Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a team of construction workers.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge and ability to use manual and power tools of the trade safely.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and differentiate colors.
Computer skills particularly in MS Office, internet research, ordering materials and supplies.
Ability to work a five day per week on-site schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Be reliable and dependable in showing up on time, ready to work, and completing tasks timely.
Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and multitask.
Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
Organized and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation.
Five years experience in the general construction industry.
Four years supervisory or business owner (general contractor) experience in construction.
Two or more years Microsoft Suite and computer skills.
Valid Washington State Driver’s license.
Background check.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or other construction related certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform general construction duties including carpentry, demolition, and framing.
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Control foot and construction traffic in and around work zones.
Dig ditches/trenches, backfill or compact earth.
Erect / dismantle ladder, scaffolding, ramps, braces or other temporary structures.
Load / unload and identify building materials, machinery, tools, and distribute them to appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications.
Measure, mark, and record distances.
Position or dismantle and assist in pouring concrete.
Use general construction tools including saws, hammers, drills, etc.
Signal equipment operators to facilities.
Perform general labor duties.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform the job and get along with others.
Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.
Physically perform the essential job functions of this position.
