Construction Financial Analyst, Healthcare

About The Position

The Construction Financial Analyst will report to and work closely with the Executive Director of Enterprise Masterplan and Planning, Design and Construction, the construction management team, purchasing, finance, and ISD to analyze and reconcile capital project finances and budgets. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing multiple construction projects, and large budgets ($100M+). Healthcare or related experience a plus. A background in Civil Engineering / Construction Management Finance is preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum four (4) years of cost accounting, budgeting and construction accounting experience.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and computerized financial systems.
• Knowledge of financial statement preparation.
• Conversant with contract terms; strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work in varying environments; detail-oriented and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others.
• Be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
• Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and maintain CHOC's values.
• Flexibility and ingenuity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relate field. Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

Nice To Haves

• Experience utilizing Excel, SharePoint and Power BI (or similar) for cost reporting
• Knowledge construction project management software and enterprise business software.
• Healthcare or related experience a plus.
• A background in Civil Engineering / Construction Management Finance is preferred.
