About The Position

Midsize Construction Company seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to be part of the estimating department for both high-end commercial and residential projects. The estimator should have already gained experience for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we have all necessary documents required to successfully bid the project. Estimators will also work with the Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets for trade buy-outs.

Requirements

• Experience for commercial and residential bids, preferably in High-End Construction.
• Must be able to utilize AutoCAD/ Planswift/ or other comparable drafting programs.
• Ability to read and analyze plans and specifications in full detail.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe software.
• Positive, thorough, and proactive communication a must as there will be constant interaction with Clients, architects, and subcontractors.

Nice To Haves

• Construction estimating: 5+ years (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid packages and meet deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain status of plan reproduction.
• Maintain spreadsheet to log in competitive subcontractor bids.
• Review bid requirements thoroughly.
• Develops RFI's, RFP’s, and some scheduling.
