About The Position

Construction Estimator – Multi-Family Plumbing Who are We Titan Mechanical is a growing HVAC and plumbing contractor specializing in multi-family residential construction across the DMV area. We are known for delivering high-quality, well-executed projects and are expanding our preconstruction team. We are seeking an Experience Construction Estimator with multi-family plumbing experience who can deliver accurate, competitive estimates, support winning bids, and contribute to successful project outcomes. Position Overview This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and compliant estimates for multi-family plumbing systems. The estimator will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with design intent, budget, and project requirements. This position reports to the Director of Estimating and provides detailed, reliable estimates while adhering to Titan Mechanical’s estimating standards and procedures. Success in this role means producing high-quality estimates, supporting a strong bid-win rate, and contributing to profitable project execution.

Requirements

  • 3–10 years of estimating experience in plumbing or mechanical system
  • Strong background in multi-family residential projects preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate, completed, and competitive estimates
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to multi-family construction
  • Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., QuoteSoft, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents accurately
  • Skilled at managing multiple bids and deadlines effectively
  • Adherence to Titan Mechanical’s estimating standards and procedures
  • Maintain professional relationships with team members, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Industry certifications are a plus
  • Working knowledge of BIM/Autodesk tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and design documents
  • Analyze plans to verify full scope coverage, identify risks, and flag inconsistencies or omissions
  • Develop accurate labor and material estimates for plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with design intent, project requirements, and plumbing codes
  • Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate and competitive bids
  • Level bids to ensure completeness and adherence to project scope
  • Prepare and submit bid packages on schedule, including detailed documentation
  • Work closely with Estimate Team, Project Management Team, General Contractors, Engineers, Design Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project objectives
  • Provide input on constructability, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure estimates comply with plumbing codes and regulatory requirements
  • Assist project teams during turnover by providing clear scope documentation and cost details
  • Provide ongoing cost and scope support during construction to help maintain budget and quality standards
