About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive bids for commercial drywall and interior construction projects. This role is responsible for managing the estimating process from initial plan review through bid submission, with a focus on drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction estimating and is experienced in reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing, and developing comprehensive cost estimates. Requirements

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction trades.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Commercial drywall or interior construction estimating experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, value engineering opportunities, and potential project risks before bid submission.
• Develop complete bid proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, and clients to clarify project scope and resolve estimating questions.
• Maintain organized estimating records using estimating and project management software.
• Support project turnover by providing detailed estimate information to operations teams after award.
