About The Position

The Estimating Manager role oversees estimating and preconstruction activities for complex power generation, renewable energy, manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and industrial construction projects. The Estimating Manager is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, managing bid strategy, evaluating project risks, and partnering with engineering, operations, procurement, and business development teams to secure profitable work and support successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction estimating, preconstruction, or project management experience supporting industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • Experience in industrial and power construction environments.
  • Experience leading estimating teams and managing multiple concurrent bid opportunities.
  • Experience with Lump Sum, Fixed Fee, and Time & Material contract structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, labor productivity analysis, indirect cost modeling, and project execution planning.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, structural, civil, piping, electrical, and process systems associated with industrial and mission-critical facilities.
  • Ability to evaluate subcontractor markets, supply-chain conditions, labor availability, and regional construction trends.
  • Strong leadership, team development, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of comprehensive construction cost estimates and competitive proposals for industrial, power, renewable energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and data center projects.
  • Collaborate with business development, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to evaluate project opportunities and develop bid strategies.
  • Analyze labor productivity, review subcontractor pricing, and assess project risks.
  • Ensure estimate accuracy and constructability.
  • Facilitate bid reviews and present estimates to executive leadership and clients.
  • Support project execution planning and guide informed bidding decisions based on market conditions, site logistics, labor availability, and contract requirements.
  • Mentor estimating professionals and improve estimating processes and cost databases.
  • Drive business growth by securing profitable projects that contribute to long-term organizational success.
