About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer for their Transportation Projects in the New York City Metropolitan Area (NY METRO). The candidates will be working on Transit/Rail and Bridge/Highway Projects. This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026 or as discussed. AECOM partners with clients to build, modernize, and expand transportation projects, using extensive knowledge in planning, designing, and managing transportation systems, as well as restoring and replacing aging infrastructure. They help clients find smarter, more advanced ways to move people across cities, countries, and continents. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another related field.
Two years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
US citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects.

Nice To Haves

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with CADD, HCS, Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoades, InSite, and GIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, perform routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles.
Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work.
Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments.
Spend a large percentage of time performing estimating take-offs and performing walk-downs for quantity tracking purposes, reporting of installed quantities, performing field inspections to verify adherence to design.
