About The Position

This is an immersive, experiential learning opportunity designed to provide an introductory understanding of construction operations, and to gain knowledge, skills, and aptitudes in the field. The role is typically situated on an active construction site, though it may also be based at Pinkard’s corporate office.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or Architecture.
• Applicants being considered for hire must pass a drug test before beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Performing regularly scheduled jobsite safety audits
• Reading and becoming familiar with contract documents
• Completing submittal and shop drawing processes
• Processing requests for information (RFI)
• Logging change orders and revisions
• Maintaining Owner/Architect/Contractor Meeting minutes
• Assisting with permitting and occupancy certificates
• Gathering, calculating, and compiling data for conceptual and hard bid estimates
• Other duties if required by a formal university-sponsored internship program
