About The Position

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Electrical Superintendent for ongoing operations at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This full-time opportunity is ideal for electrical construction professionals looking to contribute to a military healthcare project while working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. This role offers the opportunity to support infrastructure projects that directly benefit U.S. military personnel while continuing to grow professionally in an international project setting. The position provides a competitive annual salary ranging from $125,000 to $150,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

At least five years of experience serving as an Electrical Superintendent supervising crews on commercial, industrial, or government construction projects valued at $400,000 or greater
Practical field experience in electrical installation and construction required
Minimum of two years of experience overseeing medical facilities or large-scale construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent
Experience managing scheduling, procurement, safety compliance, quality assurance, and field coordination required
Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction operations, and jobsite safety practices
CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required
High school diploma or GED required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required

Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Responsibilities

Directing and managing day-to-day field operations for electrical construction activities on active projects.
Working closely with the Electrical Project Manager, this position provides leadership to assistant superintendents, foremen, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
Coordinating field operations.
Monitoring project progress.
Enforcing safety standards.
Maintaining quality control.
Supporting project scheduling.
Ensuring accountability among field personnel.
