About The Position

Requirements

  • Skilled and motivated
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on construction equipment
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and software
  • Experience performing scheduled PMs on construction equipment and fleet vehicles
  • Experience conducting inspections of tires, fluid levels, filters, and wear components
  • Ability to respond to equipment breakdowns on job sites and perform field-based repairs
  • Experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment including: Excavators, dozers, loaders, pavers, rollers, dump trucks, trailers, and company trucks.
  • Ability to accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, and parts used in service software or paper logs.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies
  • Understanding of DOT and OSHA compliance

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues and make data-driven repairs.
  • Perform scheduled PMs on construction equipment and fleet vehicles to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Conduct inspections of tires, fluid levels, filters, and wear components using checklists and OEM guidelines.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns on job sites and perform field-based repairs quickly and safely.
  • Communicate with operators and supervisors to assess issues and determine repair priorities.
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment including: Excavators, dozers, loaders, pavers, rollers, dump trucks, trailers, and company trucks.
  • Flex between shop work and field support based on operational needs.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, and parts used in service software or paper logs.
  • Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times.
  • Support DOT and OSHA compliance through proper recordkeeping and safe practices.
