About The Position
Multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Construction Department Manager to their Milwaukee team!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction Engineering
- 12+ years of experience in construction or municipal engineering
- Experience in construction management of municipal/public improvement projects (water mains, wastewater mains, and roadways)
- Experience in interpreting plans, specifications, technical procedures and governmental regulations
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- PE License preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage Construction Services Department
- Work directly with clients and contractors
- Assist with project design
- Manage staff and their assignments
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Serve as project manager on complex projects
- Prepare proposals/contracts
- Monitor progress schedule/shop drawing log
- Review pay requests and verify work is completed
- Travel to job sites as needed
