In this role you will get to lead aspects of on-site field construction activities as directed by the Mine Manager. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)
3+ years of experience in field construction is required.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.
Proven leadership and management capability is also required, as well as good written and oral communications skills.
Proven experience with surveying, layouts and grade control during construction

Nice To Haves

Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs the field exectution of construction activities onsite at a remote mine in NWT.
Ensure technical aspects of the program are carried out as directed by the Mine Manager and Project Manager.
Oversees work carried out by project staff and subcontractors as required.
Site surveying and grade control during construction.
Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.
Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
