About The Position

The JF Petroleum Group is a leading provider of turn-key solutions for fueling infrastructure in North America, serving retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers. This role will provide daily direction and coordination for a team of Construction Crew Technicians, ensuring efficient tasking, high-quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. The position involves overseeing operations within a region, installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment marketed by JF Petroleum Group. The Construction Crew Leader will also contribute to performance reviews and collaborate with Service Managers, Sales, and Project Managers to achieve team and customer goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • 5 years of direct Construction/Heavy Maintenance experience in the Petroleum Industry.
  • Ability to successfully lead and mentor 4-6 Construction Crew Techs.
  • Must be a Team player with high standards for appearance and professionalism.
  • Able to operate up to a 90-pound jack hammer throughout the workday.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Work will include after-hours.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Willing to travel, up to 50-60% of the time.
  • Able to safely operate industry-specific tools and equipment.
  • Obtain / Maintain or possess / maintain certifications.
  • Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction and coordination for Construction Crew Technicians.
  • Ensure efficient tasking and high-level customer satisfaction and quality of completed assignments.
  • Provide key communication for unresolved or high-priority assignments.
  • Conduct Construction Crew operations throughout their region.
  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment marketed by JF Petroleum Group.
  • Contribute to performance reviews of Construction Crew Technicians.
  • Make recommendations on hiring, firing, and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with Service Manager to review generated reports.
  • Work closely with Service Manager, Sales, and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent communication to Customers and Teammates.
  • Ensure a high quality of workmanship is achieved to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform as onsite working leader and point of contact for high priority and sensitive issues.
  • Complete Construction assignments to meet customer response time objectives.
  • Complete and submit paperwork from the job site.
  • Complete onsite safety evaluations.
  • Review jobs with Service Manager / Project Manager and/or Sales.
  • Review reports to ensure a high-level team performance is attained.
  • Provide input to Team and Supervisor on ideas for higher performance.
  • Maintain and ensure all company equipment is in good working standing.
  • Ensure teams required certifications for Heavy Maintenance Level are up to date.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications required for HM level on equipment, products, and safety practices.
