About The Position

Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced OSP Construction Coordinator in Piscataway, New Jersey, to oversee outside plant (OSP) telecommunications projects. The role combines field and office responsibilities, including supervising underground and aerial fiber installation, coordinating permitting, ensuring safety compliance, and managing project documentation. The position requires field and office work. Field activities include walking sites, climbing stairs, and engaging directly with teams and clients. The coordinator must travel daily to sites and be able to work indoors and outdoors in varied conditions. A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance are required. Occasional overtime may be needed.

Requirements

Three years of experience in aerial cable construction.
Strong knowledge of fiber construction and dig laws and regulations.
Previous experience with Site Tracker and Salesforce.
Proven ability to lead subcontractors and vendors.
Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, travel daily to sites, and perform physical tasks in varied conditions.
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance.
Willingness to work occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre- and post-construction site walkouts.
Verify make-ready as-builts, troubleshoot build-out issues, and ensure subcontractors comply with safety standards.
Identify permitting requirements and communicate with impacted customers.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) packages.
Track and report weekly construction activity.
Manage permitting with municipalities and compile project documentation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
