National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) connects experienced workers ages 55 and older with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). The Construction Control Representative provides field inspection and documentation support for construction work. The enrollee documents compliance status with contract schedules, specifications, and shop drawings, completes detailed daily field reports, and reports or escalates potential noncompliance as directed by Reclamation officials. The enrollee does not approve, negotiate, make decisions, or supervise federal employees or contractors; approvals and decisions remain with Reclamation officials. Work is performed as directed. The position is in Albuquerque and is listed at $41.00 per hour for 30–40 hours per week. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs is temporary and at will; the listing does not guarantee employment for any definite period. An enrollee participates in a grant program and is not a federal employee or a NEW Solutions employee. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Work includes frequent walking, climbing, stooping, and bending, and may frequently exceed eight hours in a day. It takes place in adverse weather and on uneven ground, pipeline alignments, and construction sites. Inspections may involve trenches, ladders, confined spaces such as tanks and vaults, water treatment plants, and other regional water system facilities. Hard hat, safety boots, protective glasses, and hearing protection are required on construction sites; the gear and Reclamation safety and health standards training are provided by Reclamation.
