HDR is looking for a Construction Contract Administrator to join our Building Engineering Services team in Texas. Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the demands of our client base and have experience in a wide range of project types. This individual will coordinate and work closely with clients, project managers, multidiscipline engineering teams, contractors, and other team members. They will be responsible for adding to the overall success of projects including multidisciplinary coordination reviews, shop drawing/submittal/RFI reviews, and site observations. Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent projects for our clients. Additional responsibilities include: In the role of Construction Contract Administrator II, we'll count on you to: Mentoring/Managing: Help to create a collaborative environment that promotes the production of high-quality construction documents, a smooth turnover of a successfully completed project to the owner. Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of junior construction contract administrator staff. Assist in the development of fully coordinated multidisciplinary designs. Technical: Build working relationships with the owner and design/contracting team to allow for open communication regarding issues that come up during design and construction. Work with the design and construction team to determine the best solutions for the project. Perform constructability reviews at each design phase for projects internal to HDR. Perform peer reviews for constructability and coordination for external clients. Assist the design team with constructability questions as needed. Participate in internal/external page turns and drawing reviews of the projects during design and construction. Run construction meetings with the design team, contractors, and owners as required. Bid Review/Leveling from the contractors as requested by the owner. Close coordination with the design team, owner, general contractor, and the subcontractors during project construction. Perform site visits as required to validate general quality of work and construction progress. Work with the team to perform/document lessons learned during and after the completion of the project. Design support during construction including field observations, submittal and shop drawing review, and Request for Information (RFI) review. Schedule tracking during construction Perform other duties as needed. Travel: Some travel to job sites or other HDR offices could be required. This would be communicated in advance to give adequate coordination time with project work and personal life. Professional Development Active participation in industry organizations is encouraged. Participation in professional development seminars, courses, workshops, or conferences is encouraged and should be approved in advance of attendance. Additional industry certifications are also encouraged such as Uptime ATD. Maintain continuing education requirements for any certification or license. Preferred Qualifications PE license or the ability and determination to obtain a PE License. Previous TMT/Mission Critical experience is strongly desired. Strong desire to stay current with the trends of the fast-paced industry of TMT/mission critical. Working knowledge of the following standards: Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, ASHRAE 90.4, and the ISO standards regarding PUE, CUE, and WUE. Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu. Working knowledge of Newforma Project Center and/or ProjectWise Document Management Software #LI-KT1
