About The Position

Executive Human Resource Service is presenting an opportunity with a privately owned construction company, one of the largest domestic Engineering, Construction, and General Contractors in the United States. This company provides general contracting, construction management, and design-build services. They are seeking a talented and experienced Concrete Project Manager to join their team. This role involves leading high-profile commercial concrete construction projects and offers a strong pipeline of diverse projects throughout the Austin, TX market. As the Concrete Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of concrete projects from start to finish, including overseeing planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, as well as managing the project team and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and progressive construction management experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience, with significant experience managing concrete construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
  • Strong understanding of structural concrete, foundations, tilt-wall, cast-in-place concrete, reinforced concrete, and site concrete operations.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Proven experience administering contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and maintaining profitability.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout the Austin area.
  • Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, education, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple phases of commercial concrete construction projects simultaneously.
  • Provide overall project direction while partnering closely with field leadership.
  • Foster a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, quality, and safety.
  • Build long-term relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities for future business.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, profitability, and financial performance.
  • Review subcontractors pay applications and owner billings.
  • Evaluate change orders and negotiate pricing.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee project schedules and critical milestones.
  • Manage subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
  • Ensure timely review of RFIs, submittentsals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
  • Develop detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
  • Identify schedule risks and implement proactive recovery plans.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture focused on zero incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Support quality control initiatives throughout project execution.
