About The Position

This position provides quality customer service by performing interim and final cleaning of assigned residential and commercial buildings using industry-standard methods and equipment. The role leads assigned projects and ensures the team completes its tasks. It also includes notifying appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed and reporting broken or damaged items to the head supervisor. Other related duties may be assigned. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., sometimes 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work is performed in person. Employees may encounter weather conditions, unpleasant or noxious fumes and odors, hazardous work environments, and situations with a significant chance of injury. Personal protective equipment—including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection—is required as appropriate to the task or assignment.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of cleaning products.
Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment.

High school diploma or General Education Degree preferred, but not required.
At least one year of experience in janitorial work or a related field preferred, but not required.
Valid Ohio driver's license preferred, but not required.
Ability to frequently or regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, climb, use arms and hands to handle and reach for objects or controls, and push and pull.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
Use personal protective equipment, including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection as required by the task or assignment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Clean restrooms, including sinks, cabinets, tubs, showers, walls, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, fixtures, and fittings.
Clean kitchenettes and break rooms, including sinks, countertops, cabinets, tables, floors, chairs, appliances, and metalwork.
Clean interior areas such as lobbies, closets, washrooms, utility rooms, garages, hallways, patios, and storage areas.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate equipment and methods, including scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, and polishing as needed.
Remove dust and debris from walls, ceilings, trim, doors, door frames, windows, furniture, and equipment; clean or polish furniture and vacuum upholstered furniture as needed.
Clean interior and exterior windows, mirrors, and glass.
Remove trash, dirt, debris, packing materials, and temporary labels and dispose of them in the proper area.
Notify appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed.
Report broken or damaged items to the head supervisor.
Lead and own assigned projects and ensure the team completes its tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
