About The Position

Williams Parker, a prominent law firm established in 1925, is seeking an experienced Construction Attorney with either a litigation or transactional practice to join their team in Sarasota, Florida. The role involves managing a broad spectrum of legal issues pertinent to construction projects, such as contract negotiation, project guidance, risk mitigation, bid challenges, adherence to regulations, and conflict resolution. The attorney will collaborate with clients to ensure project compliance with legal and regulatory standards and assist them in overcoming any construction-related challenges. This position also requires close collaboration with other attorneys across various practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal services.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of construction law, including experience with contract negotiation and dispute resolution
• Experience advising clients on construction-related contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management
• Dedication to client service excellence in a fast-paced, collegial, and engaging environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction litigation
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Florida Bar or willingness to become a member of The Florida Bar in the near future

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of legal matters related to construction projects, including contract negotiation, project counseling, risk management, bid protests, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Work closely with clients to ensure their projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Help clients navigate through any issues that may arise during the construction process.
• Collaborate with attorneys from various practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions to our clients.
