About The Position
Axiom is seeking Construction Attorneys to work with some of the world’s largest companies across multiple industries. This is an existing vacancy. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and administering construction contracts, advising clients on contract compliance and project risk, resolving construction disputes, and counseling clients on regulatory compliance, insurance, bonding, and risk minimization strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts and advising on project-related legal matters.
- Knowledge of construction law, dispute resolution, mechanic's liens, insurance, and risk management.
- Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you currently reside.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the energy industry a plus.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and administer construction contracts, including AIA agreements, design-build contracts, and subcontractor agreements.
- Advise owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals on contract compliance, project risk, and construction law matters.
- Resolve construction disputes involving delays, change orders, payment claims, defects, and mechanic's liens through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
- Counsel clients on regulatory compliance, insurance, bonding, and strategies to minimize legal and financial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
