About The Position

Support ongoing construction projects as well as support facilities maintenance. This role requires an engineering perspective to understand project goals, coordinate execution efforts, manage schedules, and handle all necessary documentation. The associate will also be responsible for evaluating contractor payments, building relationships with stakeholders, and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
  • 5 years’ minimum experience in construction and facilities maintenance
  • Someone that can absorb what we do and can grow with us to take on bigger projects
  • Good working knowledge or certified in OSHA practices associated with Construction
  • Able to review and propose means and methods to improve project quality, reduce time and cost
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
  • Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • BS or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction management, or architecture “is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Approaches each project with an engineering perspective to fully understand the intended and documented end product
  • Coordinates, takes part, and helps with efforts in the execution process
  • Coordinates activities of construction crew as well as outside contractors
  • Researches and understands the architectural and engineering aspects of the projects
  • Help Identify suitable partners for construction
  • Seeks and coordinates efforts during the bidding phase
  • Manages and coordinates the project schedule
  • Coordinates and resolves changes with all parties on a timely basis
  • Manages submittments, RFIs, warranties, regulatory requirements and all other required processes
  • Evaluates, validates, and processes contractor pay requests
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with Design Professionals, contractors, and all team members
  • Prioritizes, communicates, and resolves issues in a timely manner
  • Maintains drawings, contract documents and provides team members with complete documents as needed
