Construction Assistant Superintendent
About The Position
RQ Construction is looking for experienced Construction Assistant Superintendents to join our Field Operations team supporting projects in the Jacksonville, Florida area. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Superintendent to oversee daily field operations and keep construction activities moving forward. You will help coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, and site activities while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans, specifications, and contract requirements. You will also assist with maintaining schedules, monitoring production, supporting cost control, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Lead Foreman on medium to large construction projects, including scheduling, material coordination, field supervision, safety, quality, and production responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications required.
Nice To Haves
- Construction management, engineering, or related coursework is a plus.
- 3+ years of hands-on construction trade or field operations experience strongly preferred.
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
- Design-Build experience is a plus.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent on federal construction projects preferred.
- Experience working in secure or controlled-access facilities, including military or government sites, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit is a plus.
- LEED Green Associate certification is a plus.
