Requirements

  • BS degree in an engineering or construction related field preferred
  • 5+ years related experience in project construction management or installation of MEPFP Systems.
  • Certified Construction Manager, CCM or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Supervisory capabilities
  • Excellent Customer service capabilities
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week in order to meet project and task deadlines
  • Ability to drive to project sites and perform reviews of MEP and FP systems
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Able to work in the United States
  • Responsible for understanding and embodying DWG’s Culture Statement.
  • Process correspondence efficiently, accurately and confidentially.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review design documents for constructability and quality control.
  • Lead the design cost estimating development process.
  • Manage the submittal, shop drawing and RFI process. This includes the process to download, assign, track completion, and upload reviews and Shall provide an initial review of the submitted submittal, shop drawings and RFIs for compliance with project plans and specifications before sending to the design team for review.
  • Complete review forms and coordinate their return with Project
  • Answer project requests for information (RFI’s) pertaining to MEP and FP. Solicit help from the design team as required to assist with responses.
  • Distribute required information to sub-consultants when we are prime design professional and coordinate their return.
  • Review and respond to contractor change order and allowance reconciliation submittals.
  • Review and respond to contractor pay applications.
  • Schedule AHJ construction inspections for projects where we are the primary design professional.
  • Schedule construction observations by engineer of record and design team as appropriate for project schedule.
  • Prepare information necessary for architectural supplemental instructions, change order directives, etc. as a result of changes to projects originating from field conditions, shop drawing reviews or RFI’s.
  • Coordinate required design modifications with the team.
  • Attend project construction meetings representing MEP and FP
  • Provide written report of meeting notes.
  • Perform construction observation visits to project sites to help determine compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Provide written report of construction observations.
  • Bidding phase services (attending and directing pre-bid and pre construction meetings for prime projects).
  • Must travel at times to meet with clients or go to project sites.
  • Process correspondence efficiently, accurately and confidentially.
  • Requires limited mentoring.
  • Works independently in a team environment to complete tasks from start to finish with little to no input from Supervisor.
  • Capable of conducting client meetings without Supervisor.
