About The Position

CUBE 3 is a design and innovation leader with over 20 years of experience in the architecture and design field. We are one of the fastest-growing firms in the country, recognized by Inc. 500|5000 for four consecutive years. We are seeking a Construction Administration and QAQC Technical Manager (CAT) to oversee the on-site execution of multiple large-scale projects during their construction phase. The CAT will act as the main point of contact on-site, reporting to the Studio Executive or Project Manager. This role involves reviewing and generating project documentation such as shop drawings, bulletins, RFIs, site visits, field reports, change orders, and close-out documents. The CAT will also be responsible for maintaining client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring all CA project activities. Additionally, the CAT will mentor staff in the CA phase, serve as a technical resource, and periodically review Construction Documents for QAQC and coordination issues under the Director of QAQC. This position requires strong professional skills, sound judgment, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate with Studio Leaders, CUBE 3 leadership, and the Director of QAQC, ensuring client satisfaction and high performance in CA activities across the firm.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in architecture and/or construction profession
  • Professional Associates, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction
  • Delivered at least five large ground-up buildings in Construction Administration comparable to CUBE 3-designed similar projects
  • A strong understanding of local State and Municipal Building Codes
  • A Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale construction projects and their respective contractors and clients
  • Awareness and experience with the difficult legal environment of construction
  • Ability to work primarily in REVIT and Bluebeam.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, strong analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Architectural and/or Interior Design principles and theory associated with project design and construction materials and methods.
  • A valid, unrestricted driver’s license and driving record, as deemed acceptable by our firm’s liability insurance carrier, must be presented and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects in Construction with minimal oversight
  • Maintains ongoing, positive and proactive client relationships, as well as regular updates to the Architect of Record and Director of QAQC, located in Massachusetts
  • Direct activities related to construction admin, including attending weekly or bi-weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, review of shop drawings, field observations, and change orders
  • Ensures that CA activities emphasizes efficiency, quality assurance, and code compliance
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control
  • Have the people and communication skills to collaborate with Owners and contractors to solve problems in a time-pressure environment
  • Navigate sensitive issues
  • Provide periodic briefings/reports to Studio Leaders or PMs on various needs, costs, and recommendations
  • Work with the Director of QAQC to ensure the production of complete and coordinated Construction Document drawing sets
  • Manage CA projects utilizing CUBE 3 Part3 CA Software
