Construction Account Manager - Ft Wayne, IN
About The Position
Kirby Risk Electrical Supply is seeking a Construction Account Manager to grow and manage a diverse customer base in the Fort Wayne, Indiana territory. The role focuses on developing long-term customer relationships, driving business development across multiple accounts, and delivering solutions that support manufacturing operations. The Account Manager will make sales calls, identify opportunities to expand account packages, and work with colleagues across multiple sales offices to support customers. The position involves daily travel within the assigned territory, with some overnight travel as needed, and a Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for customer or vendor events.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of successful sales experience.
- Proven ability to manage accounts and relationships in a competitive territory.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or contradictory situations.
- Ability to follow company processes while applying creativity to solve challenges.
- Skill in building relationships at all organizational levels within manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Positive outlook, professionalism, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Must have legal status enabling work in the United States; the company cannot obtain sponsorship.
- Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications.
