About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Consolidation Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial statements for a growing, global finance organization. In this role, you will focus on intercompany reconciliations, consolidation reporting, variance analysis, and budget consolidation while collaborating closely with controllers and finance teams. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, gain exposure to complex accounting and reporting processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative and growth-oriented finance function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting or consolidations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and consolidation activities.
  • Proficiency in reconciliation, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing or supporting consolidated financial statements and related financial reports.
  • Knowledge of budget analysis and variance analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with audit processes and requirements related to financial reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate effectively with finance teams and business units.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced finance environment while managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification.
  • Experience with consolidation systems such as OneStream, Hyperion, SAP BPC, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Exposure to complex accounting and reporting processes within a multi-entity or global organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements in consolidation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze subsidiary financial data to identify unusual trends, material variances, and inconsistencies in reported results.
  • Perform root cause analysis on identified variances and provide clear recommendations to support accurate and reliable financial reporting.
  • Complete intercompany reconciliations, including eliminations and profit eliminations, to ensure proper consolidation of group entities.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, workpapers, and audit trails for all consolidation activities to support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Prepare and update monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation reports in accordance with organizational reporting timelines.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting consolidation process, including the aggregation and review of subsidiary budgets and forecasts.
  • Partner with controllers, finance teams, and business units to resolve reporting issues and ensure consistency in financial data and accounting treatments.
  • Assist with year-end reporting activities, including audited financial statement reviews and required parent company reporting submissions.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve consolidation processes, reporting efficiency, and overall financial close timelines.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting team members to support their development in consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational results and financial reporting.
  • Utilize financial systems and tools, including consolidation platforms and spreadsheets, to manage, analyze, and report financial information.
