The Southern High Plains region of North America spans five states and includes one of the largest and most intact expanses of grassland habitat on the continent. These iconic grasslands support rich biodiversity and generational working landscapes and are the current and ancestral homelands for numerous Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities. As the Conservation Real Estate Manager, you will work with a five-state TNC team to develop, manage, and complete the land protection projects and transactions that advance TNC's Southern High Plains Initiative. Using a full range of protection tools, including conservation easements, fee title acquisitions, and Purchase, Protect, Resell projects, you will work to protect intact grasslands, habitat for rare and declining species, and the agriculturally productive rangelands of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, working directly with ranching families, private landowners, Tribal Nations, federal, state, and local government, land trust partners, and other conservation organizations. This is an individual contributor position responsible for independently leading complex land protection projects across the region.
