About The Position

iA Assurance auto et habitation (iAAH) is seeking an Actuarial Advisor, P&C to join one of its two pricing teams. This role will contribute to pricing efforts that support the organization's competitiveness and profitable growth. The advisor will leverage their expertise in P&C insurance, analytical rigor, and communication skills within a motivated agile team. They will work on both auto and home insurance and collaborate with various sectors of the company on ongoing projects. This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of actuarial analysts and bring their perspective to more complex business analyses and issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth actuarial analyses in auto and home pricing to guide rate, segmentation, or algorithm adjustments and diagnose issues to address.
  • Take a leadership role in the continuous monitoring of key indicators to guide strategic adjustments in response to market dynamics.
  • Produce rate indications presented to management, considering claims and competitiveness trends, to support optimal positioning of rate levels.
  • Propose innovative avenues to improve risk segmentation and evolve actuarial models.
  • Participate in the research and development of new pricing variables and the integration of external data.
  • Leverage modeling and data processing skills to support pricing analyses and initiatives.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects impacting products and processes.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's actuarial analysts by sharing experience and knowledge.
  • Represent actuarial science in multidisciplinary working groups.
