Requirements

Recognized for professional rigor and mastery of accounting processes.
Distinguished by analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
Demonstrates a strong ability to meet tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Recognized for critical thinking, creativity, and professional judgment.
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Intermediate level of English proficiency for regular communication with English-speaking partners.

Nice To Haves

A recognized professional accounting designation (CPA) will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Analyze and document accounting issues related to collective insurance and annuity operations.
Assist the team lead in designing, implementing, and proactively improving effective controls.
Collaborate on the preparation of audit files and the NCMC 3416 report, and implement audit recommendations.
Ensure the compliance and quality of the team's accounting and tax processes.
Support team members in applying accounting processes, understanding them, and continuous improvement.
Communicate analyses and recommendations, highlighting issues, options, and impacts, particularly to senior management.
Participate in accounting projects and modernization initiatives aimed at improving sector tools and processes.
