GENERAL FUNCTION This position supports the LensCrafters Eye Care function. Creates exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering the LensCrafters experience to customers and patients. Delivers store key performance indicators by integrating the brand story and ensuring seamless execution of the patient journey and by linking the physician and retail functions seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Provides superior service in accordance with our patient journey behaviors and expectations.
  • Attention to detail; privately obtaining medical history and preparing patient for exam, thoroughly examining prescriptions and/or patient information; asking open-ended questions, identifying special needs, consulting with optician, doctor, or retail management as needed.
  • Explains all required documents, tests, products and services and appropriate time frame.
  • Performs all pre-examination tests accurately and thoroughly; takes the initiative to explain all measurements and answer any questions the patient may have.
  • Utilizes the POS system terminal, entering customer/patient and prescription information accurately and with attention to detail. Where applicable, collects appropriate payment while adhering to company security procedures and appropriately manages the cash drawer for various transactions such as credit card transactions, rebates, insurance and coupons.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of appointment and scheduling procedures, as well as computer operations and procedures.
  • Utilizes clinical and product knowledge, provides coaching and guidance to patients on contact lens care and handling.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and disinfection of the contact lens inventory; provides clinical support to the optometrist as needed.
  • Processes and files all patient records in an organized and efficient manner in accordance with HIPAA.
