Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Master's degree in Acoustics and Soundproofing.
  • Be registered as a Candidate for the Engineering Profession (CPI) with the Quebec Order of Engineers or hold an Engineer's title (ing.).
  • Have completed at least a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Any additional experience through internships or with other organizations is relevant.
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365.
  • Knowledge of EASE, Insul, Odeon, and Cadnaa.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, be able to apply professional knowledge, good communication skills, reliability, initiative, and personal organization.
  • Must have a driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel to clients or sites in the Greater Montreal area. May also need to transport equipment provided by the organization upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical design and coordination of various projects in acoustics and soundproofing.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians in developing solutions adapted to client needs and executing projects for various sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural, and residential) in acoustics and soundproofing.
  • Conduct surveys of existing installations.
  • Analyze and adapt building-related installations for acoustics and soundproofing projects.
  • Perform internal construction cost estimations.
  • Write technical reports.
  • Provide assistance with work supervision.
  • Develop new tools and improve existing ones.
  • Ensure interdisciplinary collaboration with external professionals.
