The Everett High School Connections program will provide an in-house alternative setting for students as they work to establish and maintain effective academic and social and emotional progress. Students will develop and utilize safe coping strategies to try and eventually reintegrate into general education classrooms. This will allow students to graduate high school with skills necessary for successful transitions to post-secondary education and/or career opportunities. The Connections Program offers a three pronged approach: Academic, Therapeutic, and Behavioral. The Teacher promotes a positive learning environment and delivers instruction to students whose educational needs are primarily the result of significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The teacher is responsible for assessment of each student's individual academic and behavioral needs (grades 9-12).
