About The Position

As a Connected Sales Intern at Würth Elektronik, you will work alongside an experienced sales team and gain hands-on exposure to customer relationship management, technical sales support, quoting, order processing, and account development. We understand that academics come first. We will work with the selected intern to establish a schedule that supports their school commitments. Interns may work up to 20 hours per week, and the role may be structured to help fulfill internship-hour requirements for an applicable degree program, subject to the college's approval.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a college or university program, ideally in business, marketing, sales, engineering, communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in business-to-business sales, customer success, electronics, or technical products.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing details across several tasks.
  • Willingness to learn technical product information and apply it in customer-focused conversations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with CRM systems is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support regular communication with established customers and help strengthen long-term customer relationships.
  • Assist with customer outreach, including identifying contacts, preparing call lists, and following up on sales activities.
  • Help the team identify opportunities for up-selling, cross-selling, and add-on sales.
  • Learn about customers’ products, applications, forecasts, and component requirements.
  • Develop an introductory understanding of Würth Elektronik product lines and their technical applications.
  • Prepare and send samples, marketing materials, quotes, and other customer communications in a timely manner.
  • Support order-processing activities and help maintain accurate sales documentation.
  • Assist with preparing customized component concepts and solutions for customer needs.
  • Maintain customer records, activities, and follow-up actions in the Alpha Plan Customer Relationship -Management System (CRMS).
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and other learning opportunities that build your sales and technical knowledge.
