About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Configuration Management Professional to provide a unique system-level vantage point of engine architecture, and how the major business units across Pratt & Whitney feed data to deliver products. This role is part of the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) segment, which provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, work stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, and process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and 5 years of relevant prior experience; or an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes experience in configuration management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Configuration Management (CM) procedures and the engineering change process.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Teamcenter, SAP, and Product Definition tools.
  • Demonstrated task leadership capabilities.
  • Proven proficiency in CORE methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Write and process engineering changes while ensuring compliance with established procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Analyze and substantiate minor engineering changes, reviewing for accuracy and alignment with organizational guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency and traceability by enforcing naming conventions, nomenclature standards, and configuration baselines, while providing training to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Integration, IPTs, CIPTs, and the Engine Center, to support Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and manage the engineering change process effectively.
  • Leverage the CORE operating system framework to drive continuous improvement and implement enhancements in configuration management practices.
